1. The Local Centre for Touristical Information from Ocna Sugatag

This project is financed by EAFRD (European Agricultural Rural Development Fund), being selected within the National Programme for Rural Development, 3.1.3. Section – The Support of Touristical Activities.
This project aim will be the setting up of a Local Centre for Touristical Information in Ocna Șugatag village, constisting of Budești, Desești and Giulești villages. The recent touristical promoting activity is lower and the existing promotional materials are insufficient and lower qualitative and quantitative lower. Also, at the regional and national level, there is no strategy for foundating a network of County Centres and Local Offices for informing and touristical promoting. There are no brands representing the touristical areas. This kind of centre has the aim to promote the tourism in the north-eastern area of Maramureș county, to enlarge the potential tourists interest in rural sightseeing. This kind of tourism can include going to spa baths or seing folk festivals , visiting churches , monasteries or relaxing walks on routes of great beauty . A reality witnessed by locals and visitors shows that information, education, promotion and involvement of visitators is currently undersized and promotional materials are insufficient in terms of quality and quantity. So building this touristical and informational center would promote wider this area through complex information and promotional activities : designing web pages with great images foro sparking the interest and desire to make travel accessible to all people around the world , panels with maps every township or village center for directing visitors to the touristical sights and the bilingual leaflets for promoting the attractions, the artisans , the tourism and the most important local events. In this center , two people havinfg the tour guide certificate will be employed. The building will have two rooms , one of them will be dedicated to receiving and informing tourists and other for promotion and sale of traditional handicraft products .
2 . Supporting the active occupation, the entrepreneurial and the sustainabile non-agricol economy development by training and involving the available human resources from the rural areas

The Project is financed by the ESF, being selected by the Sectoral Operational Programme for Human Resources Development 2007 – 2013 , Priority Axis 5 “Promoting active employment measures “, Key Area of Intervention : 5.2 “Promoting the long-term sustainability of rural areas in terms of human resource development and employment “
The overall objective of the project : The project aims to develop human resources in rural areas through training and counseling to assist the unemployed labor force in creating new businesses and supporting the process of restructuring by reducing the subsistence agriculture . By developing entrepreneurial competences, it creates long-term sustainable development opportunities , which will have an the impact on the tertiary and active employment in rural areas.
1: Defining the intervention model based on quantitative and qualitative studies involving local representatives and transfer of best practices through transnational partners .
2: Training for operators for acquiring the necessary capacity to implement actions for stimulating the entrepreneurial culture and sustainable development in the selected agricultural areas .
3: Organization of information offices / orientation in the regions concerned and creating employment opportunities for active labor and founding private organisations for the economical development in rural areas.
4: The connection between the professional training and the consultancy organised in the information offices for the development of structures for long-term care services in the formation of entrepreneurial skills among the rural population.
5: Targeting the sustainability of the information offices and the activities of counseling / guidance by raising awareness in rural areas about the importance of media in creating entrepreneurial opportunities in services and opportunities for employment.
6: Promoting equal opportunities for the available labor in rural areas, young women and middle-aged people by creating competences in personal, family or small business enterprises.
3. Ceramics– The Cultural Heritageof BaiaMare city

The project aimsto support andpromote the culture, history andlocal tradition.
Goal:Promoting andvaluing theceramic cultureofBaia Mare city.
1. Makinganinteractive pottery workshopinthe Museumof Ethnographyand Popular Art of the Maramureș Countyand the support anddevelopment oflocalceramicproductionin BaiaMare.
2. Increasing the institutional capacity of the MJEAPMaramuresfor improving the services provided for touristsand visitors, by organizingtrainingandinstruction inEnglish.
3. The promotion of thelocalceramicproductsthrough apermanent exhibition, andonecatalogand awebsite promotingand selling(“shop”).
4. Promoting the touristical specific product of the Copalnic Mănăştur commune and the monuments and traditions between borders
Beneficiary: Copalnic Mănăştur commune
Project financed by the EAFRD, selected in the Regional Operational Programme, Priority Axis 5 – Sustainable development and tourism, Key Area of Intervention 5.3 – Promoting tourism potential and creating infrastructure .
The overall objective is to promote the touristical product ” Monuments and traditions between borders ” and exploitation of tourism resources, touristical product components mentioned above, by organizing and promoting cultural activities, and promoting the historical and ecumenical monuments of the Copalnic Mănăştur commune.
The specific objectives of this project are:
– Organizing and promoting 4 cultural events that represent the specific touristical product “Monuments and traditions between borders”. The events names are ” The dance between borders” and ” The National Art Festival “
– The creation of the promotional materials for prmoting the ecumenical and historical monuments belonging to the specific touristical product ” Monuments and traditions between borders”
– Making the web site : www.monumentesitraditii.ro for the potential tourists access to the tourism database;
– Using the media for the national promoting of the touristical product (radio, TV, magazines, newspapers, etc.).
– The emplacement of panels and touristical indicators in the copalnic Mănăștur commune;
– Making short movies and organising touristical events;
– Increasing the number of tourists in the Copalnic Mănăştur commune at least with 5% by the end of the project.
5 . Qualified human resources leading to taken jobs
Beneficiary: The Free Education Union of Maramureș county
Project financed by the ESF, selected in the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development, Priority Axis 5 – „Promoting the active employment measures”, Key Area of Intervention 5.1. – ” Developing and implementing active employment measures”
The aim of the Project – The Access to education of persons in the Maramures, Satu Mare and Bihor counties through a program consisting of career counseling, information and personal development, and training courses.
The project achieved an integrating program consting of active measures for facilitating the access to the labor market, thereby increasing the labor occupancy in the project counties . The main goal of the project was to increase the employment rate of residents as a result of deficitary skills and to improve the quality of their work. These will be the result of obtaining nationally recognized certificates for training in these three counties: Maramures, Satu Mare and Bihor. The project also contributed to the supporting the target group for starting their own business or become self-employed, this project promoting the gender equality and the access to services without discrimination on grounds of gender, ethnic, religious, etc. .
